The robotics team from Orcutt Academy High School were our guests this morning. Along with the team they brought their most current robotics project and gave us an action packed demonstration of it's capabilities. The team is currently in it's tenth year of active competitions. Going up against other schools and clubs have given them the unique opportunity of meeting "like minded" students from all over the world. The robot that they brought with them this morning moved quickly and efficiently to gather large blocks and stack them in an orderly fashion. The students not only have a great passion for this project but have also developed a true sense of camaraderie with each other. To keep the Spartatroniks club going each year, the organization needs to raise approximately $100,000 annually. To help achieve this goal, our Rotary Club was proud to present them with a check for $1,000.
